A field of broken hearts...
It had been thrown down against the cold hard earth Twisted and torn it wept amongst the icy grass The heart cried out in anguish feeling lost and Ever so abandoned It cursed fate and its perilous fist that beat down Like a beast Clawing at the hearts delicate tissue, ripping it in two And she stood by and watched, a glaze over her eyes Hidden tears sliding down her face She felt entirely responsible and knew that Lying in the grass also somewhere near another heart Lay hardly beating And another already dead
